Today I am in South Dakota — Dad took a turn for the worse earlier in the week and I decided it was time to come out to visit while he was still himself. It was quite the trip, but not in a bad way at all. On Tuesday I decided to fly on Thursday. Southwest had seats available, so I booked my ticket into Denver, having gotten a wonderful offer from a friend to put me up for the night *and* drive me to Rapid City. When I talked to my brother, he suggested meeting us half-way in Sidney, Nebraska and he’d drive me the rest of the way up here and that became the plan. One cancelled flight due to a snowstorm (and a quick rebooking that stuck), a refreshing night spent with my friend and her family, a very long day (mostly) on the road, and one night spent in Mom’s study later and here I am. Today I finished knitting the hat for Dad that I started on the plane. It’s nice and soft and it fits him. He said maybe he’d even let me take a photo of him wearing it later, but for now it’s just a boring top of the washer photo to round off the week. :-)
So, catching up with my 365 project. (I did cheat a couple of photos by a few hours.)
And that is my week in photos!
