We made what is perhaps one of my favorite pasta meals ever for supper tonight and it’s so simple. We (being my oldest minion and I) shelled the peas from the CSA share and had them with pasta; ham from a locally raised, foraging, happy pig; whole wheat penne; and a cheddar cream sauce.
The peas were tender and sweet and the ham was smoky and rich: a perfect combination. Even better, there were leftovers for lunch tomorrow or Monday.
We had a very rare treat and had ice cream with my son’s T-ball team before supper to celebrate the end of their season. He had a great time:
I have no idea what he’s doing, but he’s full of joy doing it. :-)
