Today’s pickup was lovely and bountiful. We got:
2 large bok choy
4 small red leaf lettuces
assorted spicy greens
6 assorted summer squash/zucchini
5 pickling cucumbers
small bunch radishes
about a pound of sugar snap peas
a few cherry tomatoes
5 heads of green garlic
a large handful of garlic scapes
I also picked up a few extra sprigs of mizuna from the extras basket and a small Napa cabbage since the slaw I made from last week’s was well-received. (I make a yogurt-lemon dressing since I despise mayo.) This time I’ll try adding apples and toasted nuts to the slaw to make it a bit more Waldorf salad-esque.
Tonight’s supper features a salad with the lettuce, mizuna, cherry tomatoes, radishes, and a small summer squash. Yum!
